Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsGetPhound handles the search rankings, Google Maps listing, advertising and website for general, family and cosmetic dental practices. When a parent types "dentist accepting new patients" after a school form arrives, or someone with a cracked molar searches for an emergency appointment at lunchtime, we work to put your office in front of them with the details they need to feel safe booking. Plans begin at $495 a month, month to month, with no setup fee.
Your patients
Healthcare is personal, and dental care is more personal than most. The person typing a search is often nervous, sometimes embarrassed about how long it has been since the last cleaning, and almost always worried about two things: pain and price. They are choosing someone who will work inches from their face, so a pretty website is not enough. They look for evidence of kindness, cleanliness, honesty about cost and proof that other people felt safe in the chair.
Then there is the split inside your own schedule. A routine cleaning visit is a low-ticket, high-frequency appointment that keeps the practice stable. A full-mouth rehabilitation, an implant case or a clear aligner series is a high-ticket decision that a patient may consider for months and discuss at the kitchen table. Marketing the first the same way as the second wastes money on both.
We separate those jobs. New-patient searches, urgent pain, elective cosmetic work and implant research each get their own pages, listings and ads, because each is decided on different information and at a different pace.
Who calls and why
| Patient | What they search or say | What worries them | What earns the appointment |
|---|---|---|---|
| New to the area | "family dentist near me", "dentist accepting new patients" | Finding someone nearby who takes their insurance | A complete Google listing, a new-patient page and a booking path that works at night |
| In pain right now | "emergency dentist open today", "tooth pain", "broken tooth" | Hurting, and unsure whether anyone can see them today | Honest hours, a phone number that gets answered and clear language about same-day visits |
| Overdue for care | "dentist for anxious patients", "cleaning after many years" | Judgment and a large bill | Warm, nonjudgmental wording and a visible comfort and sedation page |
| Parent of a child | "pediatric dentist near me", "kids dentist", "first dental visit" | Whether the office is gentle with children | Photos of the real space, parent reviews and plain answers about age and insurance |
| Treatment shopper | "dental implants cost", "Invisalign near me", "veneers vs bonding" | Comparing two or three offices over weeks | Long, honest pages, financing information and consultation booking |
| No insurance | "dentist without insurance", "affordable dentist", "dental membership" | Paying out of pocket | A clear membership or fee page that states what is included |
| Insurance switcher | "dentist that takes Delta Dental", "in network dentist" | Losing coverage or finding a new provider after a job change | An insurance page listing plans by name, updated each year |
Your own appointment book is the best guide to the mix. We start from what your practice actually treats and which chairs you want to fill.

Behind these sit patient education content, citations and local links, paid advertising across platforms and lead handling habits. The full marketing guide shows how the pieces fit together.
A careful trade
A restaurant can promise the best burger in town. A dental practice cannot say much of anything about outcomes without running into trouble. Licensing boards in many states regulate how a practice may describe itself: how words such as specialist or expert are used, whether comparisons and superlatives are allowed, how patient testimonials and fee advertising must be presented. The rules differ from one state to the next, so we do not give a one-size answer. Check with your own board and your attorney before any claim goes live. None of what we write is legal advice.
Privacy is the other half. A web form that asks for a name and the reason for a visit can collect protected health information. So can a call recording, a chat window or a tracking pixel on a booking page. We design forms, call tracking and ad tracking with that in mind, ask your vendors about business associate agreements and keep sensitive pages out of retargeting audiences. Your counsel makes the final call on what your setup requires.
Our copy avoids treatment promises, before-and-after claims and invented numbers. It describes what your practice does, who it serves and how to reach it. Patients make better decisions when they are given facts, and boards generally prefer facts as well.
The calendar
A dental year has its own rhythm. January brings new benefit years and a wave of patients who finally have coverage again. Late summer fills with school-form checkups and teen orthodontic decisions. Many insurance plans reset at year end, which pushes patients to use remaining benefits in the final months. Spring is wedding and graduation season, when whitening and smile questions climb. Emergencies do not follow a calendar, but weekends, holidays and long school breaks always produce a spike of cracked teeth and sudden pain.
Marketing that follows the calendar costs less than marketing that ignores it. Ad budgets move up ahead of the January and late summer waves. Membership offers go in front of uninsured patients when open enrollment season has them thinking about coverage. Website pages for implants, aligners and whitening are refreshed a few weeks before patients start their annual research. And the slow stretches, when schedulers wonder where everyone went, become the time to push reactivation messages to patients who are overdue.
The marketing guide includes a month-by-month planning table you can adapt to your region.
Treatments and services
The base of a healthy schedule
New-patient exams, hygiene recall, sealants and fluoride for children and adults.
Planned repair of damaged teeth
Searches that start with a symptom, a chipped tooth or a lost filling, and end in a treatment plan.
Same-day pain relief and trauma
Toothaches, broken teeth, lost crowns and swelling, with hours and triage that must be honest.
Single teeth to full arches
High-value cases that patients research for weeks and compare across offices.
Straighter teeth for teens and adults
A research-heavy decision where consultation booking beats a hard sell.
Whitening, bonding and veneers
Elective care with its own seasons, questions and price sensitivity.
Care for anxious patients
A reason many people avoid the dentist, and a differentiator when explained gently.
Replacing missing teeth
A patient group that often needs a patient, plainly written explanation of options.
You tell us which of these to emphasize. Pages and ads follow your clinical interests and your staffing, not a template.
Recurring revenue
A large share of the people searching for a dentist do not have dental insurance, or have a plan with limits that leave them paying a lot. Many practices respond with a membership plan: a yearly or monthly fee that covers routine visits and offers set discounts on other treatment. Marketing a plan well means explaining what is included in plain language, showing the price without hunting for it and making enrollment as simple as booking a cleaning.
The marketing side has three jobs. The website needs a clear page that states what the plan covers. Ads and social posts can reach uninsured households during benefit-selection season. And follow-up after a first visit should offer the plan to patients who would otherwise drift away. How you structure and describe your plan is a business and, in some states, a regulatory matter, so confirm the details with your board or counsel. See the web design page and the Meta Ads page for how this fits in.
How we begin
We learn your procedures, providers, insurance mix and hours, and decide how calls and forms will be tracked in a privacy-aware way.
We review your Google listing, directory entries, site pages and any current ads for wrong hours, old addresses, thin pages and wasted spend.
Listings are corrected, the first service pages go live and any ads launch small, with tight geography and careful wording.
You receive a plain report on calls, forms and changes, and we plan the next quarter around your calendar and capacity.

Questions
Three common starting points: RankGuarantee™ landing pages for $495 monthly, one managed ad platform for $895, or the Organic Growth bundle of search, Maps and AI visibility from $1,495. Nothing is paid at signup. Your ad budget is billed by the platform. Our marketing guide walks through combining them.
No honest agency can promise a number of patients, a ranking or a date. Competition, season and Google itself all shift. We build the foundation, track calls and booked visits, and report what changed each month, so you decide with real information rather than hope. What we can offer is a transparent plan, clean tracking and monthly reporting, so decisions are based on what the numbers show and not on promises.
We are not your compliance advisor. We design forms, call tracking and ad tags with privacy in mind, avoid putting sensitive pages into retargeting and recommend that you ask every vendor about a business associate agreement. Your attorney or compliance consultant should approve the final setup for your practice.
Not necessarily. Many practices start with search, maps and ads on their current site and change it later. A custom, fully managed website is included with Gold and Platinum, and a standalone build is quoted after a call. See our web design page. If your current site is slow, hard to use on a phone or missing key pages, we will say so and show what a rebuild would involve before you decide.
It does, and we plan for it. Provider pages, each doctor's profile and how reviews mention individuals all affect who patients ask for. We build around your actual team and schedule, whether that is one owner or several providers. Review requests and the way the front desk answers calls also affect which doctor patients ask for, so we plan around each person's schedule and goals.
It is a young channel, so keep any trial small and measured. Wait until your Google listing and search ads are working, give the test its own tracking, and judge it only by booked appointments. Think of it as a side experiment, separate from the AI search work explained on our AI search page.
Yes. Nothing requires you to cancel. Many practices keep a directory or marketplace for a quarter while tracking how many booked patients arrive from each source. The lead generation page explains how to compare them fairly. A quick spreadsheet of booked patients by source over a quarter usually settles the question, and we are happy to help build it.
